An Introduction to Willow Tits

A half day workshop to provide background to Willow Tits, Barnsley’s scarce iconic “Red List Species” - at both national and local level - led local expert Geoff Carr.

A hands on approach to identify likely habitats and to try survey techniques using playback calls.

The workshop will enable people to survey and monitor Willow Tits locally as part of the Barnsley survey initiative. The morning will be classroom based with a field visit in the afternoon to West Haigh Woods in order to carry out some practical fieldwork.

You are advised to bring boots/wellies, warm outdoor clothes and sandwiches for lunch
