Archive Research Skills Workshop

This interactive session will help you to develop your archive research skills and explore how archival material can be a source of information and inspiration for archaeology projects.

The session will include a tour of Barnsley archives, the chance to get hands-on with a range of different types of archive material, and the opportunity to become more familiar with accessing and navigating archive collections in general.

The workshop will be based on a case study of one site within Barnsley, but will provide skills and understanding which can then be used and applied in investigating other sites.

The workshop is free to attend and no previous experience is required, although places are limited and booking is essential.

Simply get in touch to reserve your place, either by emailing or by calling 01226 772414
