Join us to learn more about geocaching and the history of the Barnsley British Co-operative Society in Darfield.

Event Info

Darfield Co-op- Then and NowGeocaching is a high-tech treasure hunt which anyone can get involved with. Lots of smartphones support GPS technology and there are free apps available to download for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

This event will introduce you to the addictive hobby and help you learn more about the history of the Co-op in Darfield. Geocaching is fun for all the family so come along and see what you can discover!

  • 11am- Meet at Darfield Library for a welcome and introduction
  • 11:15am- Head out to hunt down the Co-op caches
  • 12:30pm- Meet back at the Maurice Dobson Museum to discover more about Darfield’s history, free entry and refreshments included

This is a free event but please ring 01226 772139 to book your place. If you have a smartphone with GPS then download a free geocaching app before the event, but don’t worry if you don’t, you can still join in.
