Get to grips with the identification of small mammal bones found in owl pellets using hand lenses and microscopes with local expert Derek Whiteley of Sorby.

Event Info

The workshop is aimed at absolute beginners but there will be opportunities for more advanced activities on the day such as sexing mammals from their pelvic bones The workshop will cover mice, voles, shrews, mole, hedgehog, bats, mustelids, rabbits and hares plus other remains within owl pellets.

This event is indoors. Please bring a packed lunch.

This workshop is FREE, please book beforehand as places are limited.
