Event Info

Great Britain has over 1000 species of moss and liverwort and is home to an impressive 60% of the species that occur within Europe.

Come along and learn how to identify them with woodland expert Gordon Haycock as part of the DVLP’s Woodland Engagement Project. Look at them under a magnifying lens and you will realise just how amazing and beautiful this understudied group of plants are.

This event is aimed at beginners and will show you how to identify common woodland mosses and gain an even greater appreciation of just how special our local woodlands are!

Bring along warm winter clothing, food and drink and a hand lens if you have one.
