Event Info
Join bat and moth experts for a night exploring the diversity of moths and bats that inhabit and feed in the local landscape at Worsbrough Mill and Country Park.
The event will start at 8pm while we await dusk, the event will run late into the evening but participants can stay as long as they wish until the event officially ends.
Participant’s will have the chance to visit two moth trap stations throughout the evening (heath and skinner trap) in two different habitats to explore the variety of different species. The third station will be a bat detecting and viewing point along the Mill reservoir as we record and identify bats feeding and foraging (bat detectors will be available).
Not only will you learn something new and get a chance to experience some of our wonderful nocturnal wildlife up close, but the wildlife sightings will all be recorded for our Local Biological Records Centre (LRC) which are vitally important for protecting such species and sites in the future.
