Are you 16-20 years old?
Looking for a fantastic opportunity? If yes Barnsley Museums have been successful in obtaining some funding to run an exciting youth engagement project at the 240 acre site at Worsbrough Mill Museum & Country Park.
The Project
The project will target x10 young people aged 16 – 20 years old, who have never volunteered before and face disadvantage or challenges to doing so, the project would run over a year with monthly sessions where volunteers can learn new skills and access free training to help with future personal and professional development.

Successful candidates will be involved in the upkeep and maintenance of this fantastic park, including the protection and management of the different species of plants and animals that inhabit this nature reserve, as well as more mundane tasks such as litter picking and helping to support and organise community clean-up days. They will see and help address the seasonal needs of the park land.
The funding has allocated expenses for volunteers to travel to the site and for refreshments (e.g. Lunch, travel) while there, we also have funding to supply Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and tools while with us.
