Event Info

This workshop will be looking at the Sciomyzidae or Snail-killing Flies, a very nice group of insects to learn about. Many have pretty patterned wings and interesting lifestyles. Most are predators of aquatic snails, and are useful indicators of good quality wetlands. We will be using microscopes, reference specimens and identification keys.  The workshop is aimed at beginners so no previous experience is necessary. This is a partnership workshop delivered with Sorby Natural History Society.

The workshop will take place in the learning space at Elsecar upstairs from the visitor centre.

Places are FREE but please get in touch using the details below to reserve your space.
