The DVLP are delighted to have been shortlisted in the Community Involvement category of the Local Government Chronicle Awards.
It’s great to be recognised for our work in the Dearne Valley, focusing on the local heritage, environment & community. Our work wouldn’t be possible without the funding and support of the Heritage Lottery Fund and our range of other funders. Equally none of our work would be achieved without the hard work of all the organisations, groups and individuals we work with across the Dearne Valley.
Richard, Liane and Sally from the team went to London on 16th January 2018 to make a presentation to the awards judges followed by a question and answer session. If you’d like to see the presentation we made, you can find a pdf version HERE.
The results will be announced on 21st March 2018. You can find out more about the awards here: https://awards.lgcplus.com/
This marks the second award that the DVLP have recently been shortlisted for. We find out on the 16th November the results of the Lynne Farrell Group Award for wildlife recording as part of the National Biodiversity Network Awards in Cardiff. You can find more details HERE.
