Adult Caddisfly Workshop

This will be an indoor session looking at caddisfly adults. Stuart Crofts is working on a new identification (family level) key for these fascinating and complex insects and this will be an ideal opportunity both to test the progress of this key and to expand your own skills.

Dates

Start Date: 11th March 2017, 10:30
End Date: 11th March 2017, 16:00

Event Info

Stuart will bring along a collection of preserved samples to work with and it promises to be a very interesting day looking at a type of insect that is common yet under recorded. This workshop will be very ‘hands on’ using preserved specimens, keys and microscopes.

However, you do not need any previous experience because the aim is to work together during the day. Also, if you have any keys (or references) with regard to the identification of adult caddisflies please bring them along so samples can be “keyed out” with those as well and valuable comparisons results between key sets can then be recorded.
