We are working with the Barnsley Area Teams to deliver a litter picking and tidy up day at Barnsley Main.
This community clean up will be the first step in making big improvements to the site before the 150th anniversary of the Oaks Colliery Disaster in December 2016.
Councillor Brian Mathers will be leading a guided walk exploring the industrial history of the area and there will be refreshments for all volunteers.
Please wear sensible footwear and all equipment will be provided. Meet in the Dearne Valley Park car park at 10:30am.
