As part of our ongoing work to improve the Barnsley Main site for visitors we have organised a volunteer work day with the Barnsley Central Area Team.
We are looking for people to come and help with clearing the old tramways for use as footpaths. This old colliery infrastructure provides the perfect solution to people exploring the site safely.
Please wear sensible clothing and sturdy footwear. All equipment will be provided and Barnsley Tesco Extra are kindly supplying the refreshments. Meet at Dearne Valley Park car park on Pontefract Road.
