We are working with the Barnsley Main Heritage Group and the Barnsley Central Area Team to tidy up the Barnsley Main site ahead of the 150th anniversary of the Oaks Colliery Disaster.

As part of our ongoing work to improve the Barnsley Main site for visitors we have organised a volunteer work day with the Barnsley Main Heritage Group and Barnsley Central Area Team.

We are looking for volunteers to help with tidying up the site in time for the 150^th anniversary of the Oaks Colliery Disaster.

Please wear sensible clothing and sturdy footwear. All equipment will be provided and Barnsley Tesco Extra are kindly supplying the refreshments. Meet at Dearne Valley Park car park on Pontefract Road.
