Event Info
Please not there a few places remaining! places are reserved on a first come first serve basis.
The day will be led by Steven Falk www.stevenfalk.co.uk, one of Britain’s foremost experts of bees and other pollinators. Steven recently wrote the first ever field guide to British bees and is also well known as an insect illustrator. Join us for our fantastic day looking at wild bees up close using microscopes and also learn more about their behaviour, ecology and conservation.
(Anthophora plumipes, Steven Falk)
The day will be targeted as an ‘introductory’ workshop but will study bees at a more intermediate and amateur naturalist level as required for this level of detail. Participants will use microscopes and keys to observe a range of specimens up close and will learn all about the ecology of wild British bees.
The workshop is FREE , however places are limited so booking is essential to avoid disappointment. To book your place please contact the DVLP using the details below.
Ideally participants will need a copy of Steve’s field guide to fully engage with the course, however some copies will be available to borrow, or Steve will have copies on hand for sale if you would like your own copy.
If you would like to look at Steve’s other work and prints please visit: http://www.stevenfalk.co.uk/gallery.html
