Event Info
“If you’re from Barnsley, like I am, then A Kestrel For a Knave is your defining myth, your Domesday Book.” Ian McMillan
The film Kes dominates our understanding of Barry Hines and his work but the writing of this Dearne Valley author is starting to receive renewed attention.
In a partnership with the University of Sheffield and Barnsley Libraries we are delighted to offer a series of sessions exploring A Kestrel For a Knave at Hoyland Library. This final session provides a unique opportunity to visit the Barry Hines Archive at the University of Sheffield.
Places are free but must be booked.
