As part of the Hear My Voice Literacy Festival enjoy a birdwatching walk/poetry workshop with poet and birder Steve Ely.
In this workshop you’ll go birding at RSPB Old Moor and note the birdlife of the reserve – Lapwings, Bitterns, Golden Plovers, Cormorants, Egrets, Goosanders, Wigeon and dozens more species – just as the breeding season and spring migration are getting into swing. In the follow-up workshop you’ll transform your birding experiences into art by writing bird-based poems.
Approximately 3 hrs including an easy 1 hour walk from hide to hide. This is a free event but booking is essential.
