As part of our Art of the Dearne project, local sculptor Dan Jones will be creating a permanent sculptural seat that will be sited along the River Dearne.

Have a go at stone carving at this drop in workshop, using professional tools and techniques to contribute to sculptures inspired by the river Dearne. When finished these will be sited close to the sculptural seat.

Drop in for a few minutes or stay all day.

Suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

All materials and safety goggles will be provided. Please wear clothes that you do not mind getting dirty.

Lunch is not provided at this event.  Please bring a packed lunch with you or alternatively there are various cafes on and around the site.

The workshop will take place at Brookfield Park, just off the Transpennine Trail, adjacent to Bolton Road (B6098). Near to the railway viaduct. A free car park is available off Dearne Road (indicated on the map below), with footpaths leading to the activity area.
