Grass Identification Workshop – Fully Booked

This introductory workshop is aimed at beginners and people who want to revise and improve their identification skills in grasses and will be led by tutors of Sorby Botany Group.

Event Info

Join local botanists Jean Glasscock and Roger Butterfield of Sorby Botany Group.

We will spend part of the day indoors, examining grasses in close-up and learning to use some basic keys. Weather permitting, we will also venture out to examine a range of grasses in the field.

No previous experience is necessary. Participants will be encouraged to work together, with the more experienced botanists supporting those with less experience.

Please bring a hand-lens if you have one. Please also bring any relevant field-guides or keys.
