Event Info

An opportunity to expand your identification skills, this workshop will be very ‘hands on’ using preserved specimens, keys and microscopes. Picture Wing Flies (Tephritidae and Ulidiidae) are an ideal group to study. They are attractive, easy to recognise, not too many species and are mostly identified on wing patterns or other colourful attributes

A perfect group for those with little or no experience, or those who wish to extend their identification skills to a new group. Our aim is to work together to help train the next generation of naturalists, and build up more recorders in the area to help with recording and monitoring of such important species groups.
