Event Info

As part of the DVLP’s on-going partnership with Sorby Natural History Society we are trying to build up a clearer picture of the biodiversity on a number of key sites around the Dearne Valley,

This is one site of a series the DVLP are focusing recording efforts on in partnership with SIG for 2017. The DVLP have already carried out a number of work streams and associated surveys on site as part of on-going improvement’s for local wildlife and community at Worsbrough Mill & Country Park.

The group will be leading a special recording day on site, recording rare and unique invertebrates on this fantastic reservoir and country park. With more wildlife data we are able to better manage sites and educate more individuals about such rare and valuable biodiversity.

Tutors will be on hand throughout the visit to assist with survey and identification techniques. No previous experience required any skill level welcome. Just bring sensible outdoor clothing, any recording/field kit and a packed lunch.
