Leaders Roseanna Burton, Jim Flanagan and Derek Whiteley
The site of the former Earth Centre and a brownfield site of the former colliery of Cadeby and Denaby Main. The site is located on a belt of Magnesian Limestone, and is full of ecological promise. A rich Dundee cake of habitats full of goodies.
Please note we will meet at 10am at grid reference SK5205299577, which can be accessed just off Cadeby Lane. Their is off road parking for up to x10 cars, if you struggle to find the location please contact Roseanna on : 07809103269
Beginners are welcome, as their will be specialists on hand to aid recording and identification of different invertebrate species groups. We are actively encouraging new people to come out and get involved with local recording in the area. As an incentive, we will also be giving away free FSC colour identification guides. At the end of the meeting there will be tea and cakes, a chance to socialise with like minded individuals and discuss the days finds.
It is a free workshop, if you wish to attend please let us know at [email protected] just so we have an idea of numbers.
The survey workshop is running in partnership with Sorby Invertebrate Group (SIG) of Sorby Natural History Society.
