Event Info
Classroom sessions will cover the key visual clues to identification, tracks, feeding signs, nests, burrows, sounds, droppings & skeletal remains. There are plenty of opportunities to develop your practical skills during field based sessions focusing on small mammal trapping, field signs, handling small mammals and the analysis of owl pellets.
Event Timings
Saturday 16th April 2016
- Classroom session 10am-4pm
- Setting the Traps 7pm-8pm (Optional Attendance)
Sunday 17th April 2016
- Emptying the traps and recording finds 7.15am-8.15am (Optional Attendance)
- Classroom session 9am-3pm
*Please note the traps are humane and safe, all small mammals will be safely released.
