**Please note you must be able to attend BOTH days to receive the full accreditation as this is usually delivered as a residential course condensed into two days. The 25th Feb will take place at Clayton Village Hall, Doncaster (Day 1 of 2) and the 25th March will take place at Elsecar Heritage Centre (day 2 of 2).***
The Mammal Identification course provides a great chance to learn the key distinguishing features of all UK mammal species. Classroom sessions cover the key visual clues to identification, tracks, feeding signs, nests, burrows, sounds, droppings and skeletal identification of over 40 species. There are plenty of opportunities to develop practical skills also, focusing on field signs and the analysis of owl pellets.
Please note participants must attend both of the two days to fully complete and cover the course principles.
The course will be led by expert Debbie Alston from the Mammal Society, places are FREE but we do require a bit more information from interested participants on the following:

Please note to undertake this course the cost for a none member is £264.00, due to HLF funding we are able to offer this training FREE, however priority will be given to people living in the Dearne Valley Project area and who are involved in recording and monitoring schemes.
