Coal mining is a reoccurring motif in the writing of Barry Hines. Over five weeks at Hoyland Library we will be exploring some of his lesser known works on the theme.

In this final session we will be reviewing the three works we’ve read, Billy’s Last Stand, Two Men from Derby and Price of Coal.

The five sessions will be led by Rachel Hughes, a post graduate researcher at the Barry Hines Archive held at the University of Sheffield.
