Recording Aquatic Invertebrates

Join local expert Stuart Crofts and Roseanna from the DVLP team for a day of recording live aquatic invertebrates. The day will start by collecting local invertebrate specimens which will then be brought back to the classroom for examination and identification.

Dates

Start Date: 30th March 2017, 10:30
End Date: 30th March 2017, 16:00

Event Info

During the workshop we will be using two useful field guides to record what we find. There will also be practical advice on how to sedate the invertebrates for close examination and if necessary how to dispatch them humanely in cases where dissection is necessary for the more detailed levels of identification that may be required. All the equipment will be supplied but you will need your outdoor clothes and wellington boots for paddling! Everyone welcome.
