Maurice Dobson Museum Live Project

The DVLP put the Maurice Dobson Museum forward to work with students as part of Sheffield University Schoole of Architecture's innovative Live Projects programme. The Museum acted as a real life client for the students to work with over six intensive weeks, responding to a real brief and developing ideas to help the client.

Following the recently very successful project at Maurice Dobson Museum, where  students from Sheffield University School of Architecture worked with them, we are delighted to be able to host two short films about the project on our site.

The students worked with people in Darfield to look at options for the future of the museum. This has resulted in a new logo, promotional material, portable exhibition equipment, a model, analysis, a feasibility study and a short film. All this has really captured the spirit of the museum and provided all those involved at the museum with inspiration for the future.

Below you can see the short promotional film produced by the students to promote the museum along with a film of their final presentation.
