We are excited to be able to give a sneak preview of the virtual reality world being created by Alan Andrews, from The ART of Mining, for the 150th anniversary of the Oaks Colliery Disaster.
Alan has been working on the designs for the last few months which will be fully revealed in the When the Oaks Fired exhibition at Experience Barnsley. The designs are based on maps, illustrations and first-hand accounts of the site layout.
A 3D flyover of the site will be included in the exhibition and you can experience the fully immersive virtual reality world at two free events in January, see our What’s On page for details.
