Oaks Disaster Volunteers Trip

Some photos of our research trip to the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers in Newcastle. The Institute holds the largest mining archive in the world.

We had a fantastic day with some of the Oaks Disaster volunteers viewing accident reports, inquest material and colliery newspapers and journals. The Institute is a wonderful building with stunning collections, well worth a visit.

A big thank you to all the staff and volunteers at the Institute.
