The structure is a stone arch constructed c.1859 by Robert Glassby a stone mason and sculptor. It is a free-standing Romanesque style semi-circular arch set beneath a triangular superstructure resting on stone abutments.
The construction is Grade II Listed and is located in Mexbrough, South Yorkshire.
