Recording Butterflies in the Dearne Valley and Launch of the Barnsley Butterfly Atlas

Led by Sorby Invertebrate group (SIG) in partnership with the DVLP this workshop is aimed at anyone with an interest in Dearne Valley and Barnsley butterflies.We will be looking at the identification and habits of our local species, followed by sessions on how to record butterflies and contribute to the new  Barnsley Butterfly Atlas project. Their will be various speakers throughout the session, including interactive talks on survey and ID in the local area, equipping volunteers with new skills to contribute to the on-going atlas, or brush up on local butterfly distribution.

A suitable workshop for beginners and those with a little experience. The Workshop is FREE but booking is essential, please contact us below to reserve your place.
